Now, this is gonna be a great option for you if you're trying to get a lot of bikes from point A to point B, especially if you have a big family and want to go out riding with them. So let's check it out. So this is gonna have a weight capacity up to 40 pounds per bike, but the whole carrier's weight capacity is gonna be 150 pounds. So if you wanna load this up, up to 150 pounds, then each bike's gonna have to weigh a little bit less than 40 pounds. Definitely keep that in mind. more

Hey, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we have the Swagman Okanagan Three-Bike Platform Rack. We're gonna take a look at how it fits here on our 2023 Kia Seltos. Now the Okanagan is in the three-bike configuration, which is two-bike platform rack, plus the add-on. I like the clearance it gives, we have plenty of space to open up our hatch on our Seltos. The downside is there's gonna be a lot more movement here on this rack. So, if possible, please put your lighter bike on the very end, because that will help reduce that movement up and down. more

Saris Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Kia Seltos SAR62MR- Video
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at how the Saris MHS Bike and Cargo Kit fits on a 2023 Kia Seltos. We are focusing on how this specific kit and system works with this specific car. If you're curious though, about the whole kit or its components, you can check out our full length review videos here at etrailer.com. Now, the main thing though with a Seltos is I really like this combination just because it expands my cargo space and allows me to carry around the bike. But it's important that you have a two inch hitch receiver and that you're very conscious of the tongue weight capacity of your vehicle, because while this whole system has a total weight capacity of up to 195 pounds, your hitch weight capacity may be less, so just double check that (engine revving) before you load your cargo up. Technically, the basket has 160 pound weight capacity and the bike rack has a 35 pound weight capacity. more

If you're familiar with the MHS, it's a modular hitch system where you can get different trays and different add-ons, and you can mix and match to find the best fit for whatever you're carrying. In our case here, these are gonna be the three UNO trays, which are gonna be the more lightweight, but still versatile trays. As for how the system fits on the Seltos, well, you can carry around a lot of things, but you do lose out on some features just because of how low the Seltos is to the ground. more

How's it goin' neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Yakima Stage Two on our 2022 Kia Sorento. The Stage Two is a wheel-mounted bike carrier, and this is gonna help the person that has a bike that they don't want any contact to secure it to the carrier. So if you have a carbon fiber bike, unconventional frame, or a nice paint job and you just don't want that contact, this is gonna be your best option. One of the great things about it, it does have a tilting feature that's gonna allow you to tip over your bike, and it gives you a really decent angle to open up your rear hatch. That's gonna allow you to gain access to your cargo area and keep your bikes loaded at the same time. Now we're gonna take our bike off of the carrier to take a closer look at some of the features. more

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Tire Hold HD from Inno on our 2022 Kia Sorento. The Tire Hold HD is a wheel-mounted bike carrier, and that's gonna allow you to secure your bike to the carrier without making any contact to the frame. That's gonna work mostly for your bikes to have unconventional frames, carbon fiber bikes, or bikes to have a nice paint job to it where you just want no contact to the frame at all. So let's take a look at some of the features as far as having your bike installed on your carrier. Your carrier does have a tilt that's gonna allow you to lower your carrier. In this case with the Sorento, you're not gonna quite make clearance without making contact with our handlebars, so that's something to consider that you may not have access to the back of your vehicle when you have the Tire Hold HD. more

Saris SuperClamp EX 2 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Kia Sorento- Video
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the SuperClamp EX from Saris on our 2022 Kia Sorento. The SuperClamp EX is a cradle-style bike carrier that has a wheel mount securing system. So essentially, you're gonna have hooks on your wheels in addition to the cradle straps to hold your bike on the carrier. What's unique about the SuperClamp is you have a front and rear hook. A lot of times when you have a wheel-mounted system, it's just a single hook and one single cradle. A wheel-mounted bike carrier is gonna work well for a person that has either a carbon fiber frame that you really don't want contact to, or if you have a nice paint job or an unconventional frame, it makes it a lot easier for those types of bikes. more

One real cool feature with this carrier is the fact that you have a tilt. You're just gonna push your lever down and lean your carrier over. And as you can see, it gives you a great amount of clearance where you're not gonna really run the risk of any interference with your pedal or handlebars, giving you full access to the back of your vehicle. more

You're just gonna have a single hook on your front wheel that you're gonna ratchet down into position and your rear wheel is held in position by a strap. The E-SPEC is a great e-bike carrier, and it's gonna give you a really good capacity. It's rated up to 80 pounds per bike, so that's gonna cover a lot of the bikes that are out there on the market right now. The style of the carrier is a platform style carrier, so that's gonna give you two trays or cradles at the bottom where your feet are secured and a hook that actually makes contact with your frame. So, that is a sturdy way to secure your bike. However, if you have a carbon fiber frame, unconventional frame like a step through, it's gonna require either an adapter or I would just suggest if you have a carbon fiber bike, going with something maybe like a wheel mount. more

Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack Review - 2022 Kia Sorento- Video
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE on our 2022 Kia Sorento. Picking a bike carrier for your vehicle, it kind of ties in on how you plan on using it and how you would like it to secure to your bike. For example, the one that we're looking at here is a frame-mount bike carrier, meaning that it's gonna make contact here at your frame and it's also secured in the cradles for the front and rear tire. What's different about this one is the fact that it does have included anti-rattle on the hitch. It's also adjustable to go up to 60 inches for your wheel base and can support your e-bikes up to 80 pounds. We're gonna remove our pin and put the Sport Rider in the tilt position (metal clacking) by pulling the pin on the side, and that's gonna allow us to have access to our cargo area and we're clearing it completely. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2024 Kia Niro PHEV- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Hollywood Racks Destination four, and we're taking a look at how it fits here on our 2024 Kia Niro. The Destination four is one of my favorite bike racks because it is so affordable, but still offers amazing features that even pricier racks don't sometimes offer. This has a lot of versatility for types of bikes, but my favorite part about it is how lightweight and compact it is, even with the ability to carry around four bikes. Now, the downside to this rack is that this does not tilt down, which is a bummer because the Niro's hatch door is so short that most bike racks that tilt away give you so much hatch access, and you can get into your cargo area, but at this price point, that's just gonna be something you're gonna have to give up for the ability to carry on a lot of bikes. So what types of bikes can you carry Well, this does have a maximum weight capacity of 35 pounds per bike, which is most lighter mountain bike and road bikes. This does have a angle to the cradles, which mean your different wheel bases are fine. more

Hey, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look at the Kuat Transfer V2 3-Bike Platform Rack, we're seeing how it fits here on our 2024 Kia Niro. The Kuat Transfer is really popular, because of its unique goalpost design. This is gonna be Kuat's entry-level bike rack that gives you that stability of a platform rack, but also not as pricey as, let's say their Kuat Sherpa or their Kuat NV. Something that's usually a downside for a Transfer, but not in the case of our Niro, is that usually doesn't tilt down far enough to get hatch access. But because the Niro's hatch is rather on the small size for the door and because of how this is shaped, we actually get plenty of clearance, well, not plenty, but decent clearance to lower down our bike rack and then open up our hatch. more

Hi, everyone, I'm Evangeline here at etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at the Saris MHS 3-bike kit, and we'll see how it fits on the 2023 Kia Seltos. Right off the bat, I'd have to say that this isn't the best fit for the Seltos with the Seltos being a smaller SUV and this bike rack being a super heavy-duty bike rack. Now, this does have the capacity to carry around two 80 pound bikes as well as a 35 pound bike at the very end. But your Seltos may or may not be able to carry that much weight, so please double check your tongue weight capacity of your hitch before loading up your bikes. It's still worth taking a look at, because I like this bike rack kit with how sturdy it is compared to other dual wheel mount bike racks. more

So the XTC is a frame-mounted bike carrier, and this also would. I would consider it to be an entry-level carrier. This is going to basically attach at the frame and your wheels to secure your bike to the frame. If you have a nicer paint job or if you have a bike that carbon fiber, that downward force wouldn't be ideal or a step-through bike, that could also cause issues as far as how you can secure it. How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Saris MHS on our 2023 Kia Sorento. The MHS is the Modular Hitch System. In this configuration, we have it set up to carry two bikes. It is a wheel-mounted system, where you have a front and rear wheel arm, that's gonna make contact with the wheels. If you have a unconventional frame bike, a nicer paint job, a carbon-fiber bike, step-through, any of those things where you don't want contact or contact's not possible, wheel-mount is gonna be your option. The MHS also has a single strap on your rear wheel to help stabilize, and a front wheel fixed chock for your, and what that's gonna do is basically get a tighter grip on your bike, making it one of the more sturdy wheel-mounted carriers that we have. more

The Sport Rider SE is a frame mount bike carrier that can support two bikes up to 80 pounds each. And that is a pretty massive weight for a bike carrier this size. So that's impressive in itself. The type of person that would go for something like this is a person that does not mind contact to the frame. Hi everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at how the Inno Tire Hold HD Bike Rack fits the 2023 Kia Seltos. Right off of the bat, the Inno Tire Hold HD is what you'd be looking at if you want something that has a super high weight capacity for heavy electric bikes, but also has that dual wheel mount style to make it much easier to carry those bikes. The downside for how this fits on the car though is it doesn't tilt down far enough to open up the hatch if you have mountain bikes. So that is something to be mindful and we'll talk about in this video. But the perks are is that it sits low enough to the ground to make it a lot easier to load and unload those bikes. more

That is my preferred way to carry a bike just because it's generally a little bit more accommodating. This is a very entry-level platform style bike rack, maybe it's just you and a friend who go out, but I'd definitely recommend it to the beginners. The Swagman's gonna be able to hold two bikes, 35 pounds each, so it won't be able to accommodate those heavier e-bikes. And it's gonna have only one tie-down point, and that's gonna be on its frame with this hook here. more

Hi, I'm Matt with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Hollywood Racks Destination four-bike rack on the 2024 Kia Carnival. This is gonna be an entry level platform bike rack with the ability to hold up to four bikes, 35 pounds each, so unfortunately it won't be e-bike friendly. Something else to note is three tie down points, one on each tire, and then we have a clamp on the frame that can adjust, so it's gonna be able to fit a lot of different alternative frame bikes. Maybe not all of them but a lot of them. But since we are making frame contact, that means we don't recommend using carbon frame bikes on this rack. Since this is an entry level bike rack there's two drawbacks. more

Hi, Matt with etrailer. And today we're gonna be talking about the Kuat Piston Pro four-bike rack on the 2024 Kia Carnival. This carrier can accommodate four bikes, 40 pounds each. So that's something to keep in mind that it will not be able to accommodate those E-bikes, but it's gonna use a dual wheel mount that's gonna be attaching on your front wheel and your rear wheel. So it's gonna be able to accommodate your carbon frame and alternative frame bikes. Since this is one of our more premium platform style bike racks, it does have a tilt away feature. more
